Enterprise Automation has been selected to provide SCADA integration services on the SEPV8 (12MW peak) and SEPV9 (9MW peak) solar PV projects near Twentynine Palms, California. Enterprise Automation will provide all integration services including design of the SCADA system, selection and configuration of equipment, SCADA system programming, and startup and commissioning services.
The project includes interconnection of the site SCADA system to CAISO through a CAISO-approved Remote Intelligent Gateway (RIG) and to SCE’s Generation Management System (GMS). Additional features include network design, computing platform virtualization, monitoring of all PV plant equipment, a web-delivered HMI, security design and configuration, data recording, alarm configuration and notification, and startup and commissioning support. Enterprise Automation will be using an object-based programming approach to allow rapid development and deployment and re-use of the modules on similar projects.
Technologies will include: SEL 3530 RTAC (Real Time Automation Controller), SEL-734 revenue meter, SEL-751 protection relay, meteorological stations, Advanced Energy inverters, Hirschmann industrial switches, Moxa protocol converters, VMWare, CitectSCADA, Modbus TCP, DNP3 TCP, and Cisco ASA 5505 firewalls.
