For nearly three decades, Enterprise Automation’s primary focus has been the long-term success of its clients. Wonderware might have changed their name and PLC lines have gone obsolete, but our prioritization and commitment to our clients have remained constant. Just as many of our clients work in industries that operate behind the stage and beyond the faucet, much of our continuous investment into creating additional value for our clients is not always visible.

Meet our innovation department

One of our unifying values as a company is continuous improvement, and along the way we decided to establish a new team specifically dedicated to digital evolution. This group of experts evaluates new technologies, builds internal tools to drive efficiencies, and applies creative solutions to solve our clients’ most complex challenges.

Before our clients even consider applying new technologies such as TwinThread or Ecostruxure Automation Expert, it’s safe to say that EA has been exploring them behind the scenes. Our innovation engineers trial tools, interview vendors, and get certified as part of this process. This proactive approach allows us to guide client investments towards ideal solutions and minimize adoption costs by using trusted EA methodologies. By collaborating with the innovation department, clients have saved millions of dollars and years of otherwise manual work across a variety of projects from enterprise-scale technology deployments to AI/ML solutions.

As impactful as our work for clients has been, the innovation department’s single biggest client might be EA itself. The department builds tools to improve the quality, consistency, and efficiency of our whole firm and its deliverables. These tools cover almost any workflow you could think of: PLC code generation, automated SCADA configuration, CAD drawings, and even calendar management.

Our outside-of-the-box approach to resolving problems for our clients is downstream of our investment in in-house resources. Each time we identify and conquer a pain point internally, we add a new solution to our toolbox, with potential for use in a critical real-world environment. Our growing exposure and familiarity with a multidisciplinary approach have made us more comfortable and creative when we encounter new challenges.
