Enterprise Automation Treats their Team to K1 Racing

EA Hits the Race Tracks

Enterprise automation treated the team to an evening of fun at K1 Speed. This annual event has consistently served as a celebration of our talented newcomers that successfully graduate EAU. EAU is extremely competitive and stakes are high when it comes to successfully completing the training. What better way to kick off an official “Welcome to the team” than a friendly night of go-kart racing! The team enjoyed a quick bite to eat, then put on their game faces as they headed to the track.

The Race

The team broke into two random groups, then took on a 12 lap practice race, 14 lap qualifying race, and finished with a 16 lap final race. The practice lap times were not counted against racers, as everyone got familiar with the carts and track. The race then got a bit more serious as they entered into the “qualifying race”. For this race, the timing was everything in order for individuals to place among the most competitive qualifying group. Depending on their qualifying race numbers (race times), they were redivided into two groups and placed within either the slower or faster of the teams. As part of the final race, participants had the opportunity to place either 1st, 2nd, or 3rd within their group depending.

The Winners

The winners of the slower qualifying group received medals for either 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place. The winners of the faster qualifying group receive a full race trophy for either 1st, 2nd, or 3rd. All winners are awarded during a winners ceremony where they stand on the podium according to their placement. Overall, the team had a great time and can’t wait for the team to race again next year!
