EA University Inaugural Class Graduation! – Announcing “Four Directions”

Derek Sorenson, Enrique Jimenez, James Parsons, and Zack Cox (the self named “Four Directions”) were the inaugural class for EA University, our new comprehensive four week employee training program. The training is intensive, highly technical, and hand’s on – representing a full cycle control system project from design to startup with real deliverables.

Training modules include: EA culture, EA business systems, customer requirement discovery and listening, control strategy development, expectations of professional grade documentation, electrical design, networking design, Microsoft operating system configuration for SCADA, PLC logic development, HMI development, reusable code modules, process sequencing, PID, testing methodology, startup, among many more.

The team successfully completed the project all the way through startup, yielding a working physical mockup of a reservoir control system. Technologies include: Automation Direct I/O, Think & Do control and HMI, IPX, VMware virtualization, Microsoft Domain and RDP, and Ethernet.

Enterprise Automation will upgrade this curriculum each time it is offered, with expanded subjects and new technological elements.
