In response to California’s Shelter In Place order, EA has moved all employees to remote working arrangements. As a testament to our preparedness and internal systems, EA has been able to maintain complete business continuity throughout this transition. We remain fully active in execution of projects and more critically, support for existing systems. We are proud to serve industries who have been designated as “Essential” by the state and federal government, and realize many we serve provide critical needs to the community. We want you to know that we are all still active and available in this time of need. In the coming days, our Project Managers will be reaching out to assess how you are responding to this order, and how we can best support you.
As a reminder:
- Utilize Support Contract contact procedures – Many of our clients have existing support contracts that contain priority access to staff, sometimes 24×7. For all existing support contract holders that experience critical issues, meaning potential loss of downtime or production, we are endeavoring to respond day or night as quickly as possible. If your operation is in jeopardy, please reach out. For those clients who do not have a formal support contract, we encourage you to reach out if the need presents itself, and we will strive to provide any support you need in the timeliest manner possible.
- Remote work tools development – As the effects and impact of this shelter-in-place order could last for many weeks and even months, operating remotely with limited on-site staff could be a reality. If your automation systems lacks critical tools that allow you to do this, please contact us. We can discuss secure remote access options, alarm monitoring and callout, and cloud dashboards as potential options that can make life a bit more bearable, while keeping operations running.
- Safe use of Social Distancing – While most of our interactions are successfully being migrated to remote or virtual methods, most site work will still necessitate a physical on-site presence. In these cases, we expect our staff and clients to adhere to Social Distancing guidelines, to limit the chance for exposure and spread of any virus.
